We started from our place by 5.30 to railway station, took train to Paris and then changed to another train(sleeper train) there. The train in which we went to Paris(TGV) is the fastest train in the world with 574.8 kmph. It went very fast.

The night train from Paris is like our normal night train, with 3 berths to sleep. But they are like coupes(1st class type) with a door and there are berths there. They gave us chocolates like in aeroplane, then we had that and slept at night.
Today morning we got up at about 7,our station comes about 8.30. Then, we had our breakfast bread and jam(we got it with us to eat), then we saw sea from our train. It is very nice, with blue water. We are very excited seeing that, then we got down at station called Port Bou(france border).

Our next train to Barcelona from there is about 2.30 hrs from there..Since we have 1hr time for the next train, we went to the beach as it is very nearby. We took photos there and came back to take train to Barcelona.

Barcelona railway station is very well maintained and it looked like an airport and it is very neat and huge. We went to tourist information center, took the city map and found out interesting places there. Then we went to underground train station below it (local transport there using metros). We took metro pass for 2 days and then started our journey in Barcelona.

At first we went to Sagrada Familia, which is a famous world heritage site. Barcelona is famous for Antoni Gaudi structures. Antoni Gaudi is an architect who designed structures, buildings etc. He used to take contracts from different people and build houses, parks for them. But his architecture is very different and marvelous. They are very different. We can easily make out the difference between normal buildings and his structures. Sagrada Familia is his structure. It is very huge and nice. It has an entrance ticket. So,we didn’t go inside. We just looked at it from outside and went away.

Then we went to Casa Mila, another structure built by the same person. We went inside this one, as entrance ticket costed less. Its nice, there are many things to see inside. It is basically the apartment he built it for someone.

Then we came out from there and went to Oceanarium (Big aquarium) which is the largest in Europe. Its ticket is costly, but as it one time opportunity to see this one, we went there. It is beside the port. We can have the view of the sea from there. It is very nice with lots and lots of sea species.

We saw Nemo(famous fish in a movie) , penguins, sharks, octopus and many varieties of species there. It is very exciting and interesting. Then we went to see Magic Fountain which is famous there. It starts at 9pm. As sun sets at 10pm there, it was not a problem for us to visit that. Fountain show is very nice with fountain dancing with different colors and different shapes. Then we took pics there and started at 10pm from there to our hostel..

Just before getting down to metro station, my friend put her handycam and my digital camera in small cover and put it in her backpack. Then we went underground to metro. Just before reaching the platform near the steps, one person tried to open her bag and she shouted loudly. She also didn’t think that he is taking something from her bag. Later after a few secs, we checked that her bag zip is open and we turned around to see three people who are behind us who are coming in our direction previously changed their directions and started going up in the reverse direction. She told me that she saw him open kerchief by the time she shouted. That person followed us from the time we got down to metro and tried to put both in his kerchief and run away. Actually there are not many people there at that time when we are going down to metro. That’s why he planned to take it easily. Finally by luck,we didn’t loose our things and from then onwards, I started putting camera in my pocket so that it will be easy to access and for safety purpose also. We started being extremely careful after that.
Then we went to our hostel. A person showed us the route to our hostel..Actually we did a mistake going to fountain, as it got late coming back to hostel and we had to find our hostel also. If there are no people, it will be difficult to find address. We had to walk a lot to reach hostel. We reached hostel at night. It is a big dormitory with about 6 bunk beds(total 12 beds..6 beds below and 6 beds above). There are lockers to keep our things and lock it. It is very convenient. We are only 3 in our room of 12. One other girl along with us. We slept at about 12.
Next day morning, we woke up got ready and had free breakfast which is nice with cereals, bread, milk and juice. We had that and went to Park Guell , another Gaudi’s structure. It is on top of a hill. We had to walk a lot to reach there..We got tired by the time we reached there. There are nice structures there.

After that, we went to railway station of Barcelona to find out nice beach nearby, as we have sometime for our train. We saw on net that there are nice beaches nearby Barcelona. There is a beach in Barcelona, but it is not the best. So,we found out that there is a nice beach 40 mins from Barcelona. So,we went there. Again on the way in train journey we saw the beach..But we are very much disappointed that the beach is not in blue color. It is little bit like Indian Ocean near Kanyakumari, it is slightly greenish.

But we liked the previous beach, which we saw yesterday morning near Port Bou. We couldn’t understand how the colour changed from there to here. We didnt go inside water, but just sat there on a rock in the middle of the sea. It was very pleasant. We sat there for about 1.30 hr. Then I wrote in small piece of paper, my name and my phone no, dad’s phone no and wrote a message in paper to call me back if someone gets it, and put in a container and threw it in the sea, just for fun.

Then we came back to Barcelona station. Then we took ticket to Port Bou as our train starts from there. We went there by night 8 and caught the night train back and slept in the train.
