Today morning we got up early in the morning, got ready had upma and started our journey to Neuschwanstein castle. It is long journey of 7 hrs. We slept in the train for some time and later read some book. Here bad thing is that we don’t get direct trains to all places. We have to change trains once in 2-3 hrs. Good thing is that they will be frequent and don’t need reservation. So, we had to change 4 trains. I never saw a full train till now in Germany as the population is very less. Even a small passenger train looks very good with good seats,ac etc.

Finally we reached the nearest railway station to Neuschwanstein castle. The scenery is beautiful there with alps all around.

Then we went to castle by bus. There we had some food, again french fries and castle is on the top of a hill. We can walk up to the hill, but we preferred going by bus which costed about 1.5 euro. We saw blue lake on the way. It is so beautiful.

We got down and walked till castle.

 

We had to take guided tour. It is compulsory guided tour for castle. But there are timings for guided tours of diff languages. If we want to take English guided tour, we will miss our return train. So, we took an audio guided tour, which has head sets and we can hear all about the castle as we go around. But bad luck is that there is no English audio guide.We took Dutch audio tour as some people told us that Dutch is similar to English.

We took that one and went inside the castle. The audio guide is time set one. Exactly it will tell about the room in which we are at that time. Castle is very beautiful. This is the first time I really saw a king’s palace, looks like as if seen in movies. Best thing about the castle is that, it is surrounded by beautiful hills and trees and we can have the view of lake and hills from each and every window.

It seems that Walt Disney, founder of Disney land designed Disneyland seeing this castle. Then we came back fast to catch our train and then started our journey back. We reached Saarbrucken by 11pm.
