Sydney city government encourages locals to explore the city on Sundays and keeps a cap on the Sunday rides to 2.70$. You might be wondering why I started this post like this, but that is how this trip started. We didn’t want to waste the Sunday discount ride and planned a trip to Sydney Harbor bridge 🙂 We took a train to Milson’s point and walked a few hundred meters to reach the bridge.
There are three different options to explore Sydney Harbour bridge:
1. Sydney Harbor Bridge Walk – where we get to walk on the pedestrian path, built on the bridge
2. Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb – actual climb of the bridge with ropes and other equipment, a strenuous one, for the adventure seekers.
3. Sydney Harbor Bridge pylon lookout – take a lift to the top of the bridge and enjoy the amazing city views.
We wanted to try the pylon lookout, but we were too late for that as it closes at around 5pm. So, we decided to walk across the bridge.
The views from the bridge are amazing, giving 360 degree view of the city.

Though the bridge looks very big from distance, it felt very small when walked on it. We quickly reached the other end of the bridge, in 20mins or so.

We stopped at many points on the way to look at the amazing views around. We observed that many people use this route for their regular jogging, walking, definitely a great place to exercise and relieve the work stress.

On the other side of the bridge, the nearest train station is Wynyard, from which we took our train back to our place. A well spent Sunday evening! The best place about Sydney is that, you can choose a place and walk around there happily. We will definitely come back to this place again on an another sunday 🙂
