Tasmania 6 day road trip from Hobart to Hobart:- We created this post to share our Tasmania Itinerary, so that it would be useful for anyone planning their trip.
Day 1: Hobart to Launceston(192kms)
Reach Hobart Airport
- Pick up your car from the airport (car rentals located in the airport)
- Drive to Launceston and stay overnight.
- You can also take a flight directly to Launceston from mainland Australia, without landing in Hobart.

Day 2: Launceston to Cradle Mountain(280kms)
- Drive to Cradle Mountain visitor center
- Take a shuttle from there to reach the Cradle mountain and Dove Lake
- Dove Lake Circuit walk (5.7km loop trail)
- Night stay at Launceston

Day 3: Launceston to Swansea (387kms)
From Launceston to Swansea with the following stops (in order)
- Bay of Fires Conservation Area
- Binalong Bay
- Wineglass Bay lookout walk starting from Coles Bay
- Night stay at Swansea

Day 4: Swansea to Hobart via Port Arthur (257kms)
- Eagle hawk Neck
- Port Arthur Historic site
- Night stay at Hobart

Day 5: Hobart Local City and Bruny Island (160km)
- Mt.Wellington Lookout
- Salamanca Market (open only on Saturday mornings)
- Drive to Bruny Island, taking a transport ferry in between
- The Neck Lookout, Bruny Island
- Huon Valley
- Back to Hobart for night stay

Day 6: Hobart Local
- Clifton beach
- Opossum Bay
- Rosny Hill Lookout
Places we didn’t visit but would have loved to visit:
- Penguins at Bicheno/Bruny Island (sunset time)
- Light House, Bruny Island
- Walk down to Wineglass bay from the lookout
