We started our trip to Sea Cliff Bridge and realized that the road to the bridge is closed due to maintenance works after reaching Helensburg. We drove to Bald Hill Lookout to find that the parking was full due to an event happening there. Having nothing much to do, we decided to go back home thinking its a bad day. Since we got our lunch packed with us, we searched for a picnic area nearby to have our lunch and go back. That is when we found this place “Woronara Dam”. It felt interesting to see a dam in Australia and drove there.

We expected to have a look at the dam from the road, but we couldn’t find any water or dam. We parked our car wondering if there is any dam there and if it was open to public. We found a good picnic area for our lunch and we decided to explore the road to the dam first if at all it is there :P. The directions to the dam were not clear and it took sometime for us to figure out the route. Once we reached the dam, the place felt completely magical 🙂

Woronara Dam looked very beautiful and huge. We didn’t expect it to be such a big one and we felt lucky to have landed up there accidentally. If our plan was not cancelled for the day, we would definitely have not ended up visiting this place.

We walked all along the dam and came back to the picnic area for lunch. After lunch, we started our journey back home with beautiful memories.
